We journey through the lava fields near Reykjavík where you will experience cave exploration in this area full of natural phenomena. We walk through a narrow cave entrance to see the amazing rock formations and boulders thrown about by ice formations over the last 10,000 to 20,000 years. The cave widens and heightens upon our trek further inside, and colorful ropes, stalactites and rock formations decorate the walls of the cave. Everyone is geared up with helmets and headlamps before entering the cave, but we recommend wearing sturdy shoes suitable for walking on the coarse surface of the lava.

A part of this tour includes walking on very coarse lava surfaces. Lunch and refreshments are not included.
