Throughout the journey the group will experience first hand Iceland's most famous landmarks like, Thingvellir National Park, the crater Kerid, The golden waterfall Gullfoss and the erupting hot springs at Geysir.

The Golden Circle is a route, which in one day, can offer a astounding varieties of great monuments, unique natural pearls and gives you the opportunity to get into contact with the harsh Icelandic elements. The tour starts at the hotel in Reykjavik, and heads east over Mosfellsheidi heath to the holiest place in Iceland, Tingvellir National Park. Not alone has Tingvellir a unique nature, which displays the drifting of the tectonic plates on the surface in great cracks, but was the place where the Vikings establishes the world’s first parliament  “the Althingi” in the year 930.

The next highlight is the geothermic area at Geysir where the geyser Strokkur rewards its spectators every 5th minut with a 30 meter high pillar of boiling groundwater. Should you be so lucky, there is a possibility for the old Geysir also to erupt. From Geysir the journey continues to the golden waterfall Gullfoss, Iceland's most famous waterfall, which gets is name of the water turning yellow from the sun. On the way back the wonderful explosion crater Kerid will be visited. The greenhouse town of Hveragerdi is a special experience, where you amongst other things can see how the geothermal hot water is used to grow excotic plants, for example bananas!!

The landscapes are cut by big glacial rivers and canyons and the fantastic SuperJeeps will to cross the rivers in their special way, besides the bridges, an unforgettable experience. All equipment for the trip like boliler suit, helmet, boots and gloves will be provided for.

and / or...

13:00 The group arrives at the farm ”Drumboddsstadir”, where Arctic Adventures have their headquarters. The visit starts with their famous lunch buffet before getting ready for the coming adventure.  The group is dressed in dry-suits and then head i an old worn down bus to the glacial river Hvita the same river that has the waterfall Gullfoss visited earlier and the group can from then start to look forward to their upcoming river rafting tour.  A hour tour down the canyon carved into the landscape by the river, creating spectacular rock formations and exhilarating rapids. Half way down the river, the group will stop at an island in the river and will be given the opportunity to break their limits by jumping into the river from a 5m high cliff... A real adrenalin kick..!  We recommend that everybody brings extra clothing to use after the river rafting (Shoes, socks and pants), because, it can get wet (sometimes everybody gets thrown in the river, but without risk, everybody has a floating suit on). After the river rafting trip the group can warm up in the sauna and will be served warm cacao with rum to get some warmth into the body!! The river rafting tour is an incredibly exciting and fantastic experience with experienced guides.

18:00 After a fun day in the highlands, we head to the south coast and will drive some off road on the beach befor arriving to the quiet fishing village of Stokkseyri. There the group will arrive at the restaurant “At the Seashore” and are greeted by a musician playing old seamen’s songs and served a welcome drink on the beach with the Atlantic Ocean stretching into the horizon.
