We recommend that you use the morning to travel in the area of Lake Myvatn. The lake is one of Iceland's pearls of nature and in the area you will also find hot-spring areas by Namaskard, where you can get the opportunity to take a bath in a natural hot pool. There are volcanoes and new lava fields at Krafla, craters are scattered all over and beautiful rock formations. Lake Myvatn is a paradise for bird watchers, as nowhere in the world can you find more species of ducks in one place. We recommend a good walk in the area for the ultimate experience and in the small town of Reykjahlid by the lake is a tourist information office that can direct you to all of the area’s natural wonders.  In early afternoon, you must head out of the area as you have a long drive ahead to your next accommodation near the town of Hofn in the south-east Iceland.
