Super-truck tours:
Become a King for a day, travelling in luxurious, specially modified super-trucks. Half-day or full-day trips or safari convoys are the experience of a lifetime. Their large tires enable us to drive on snow and glaciers, cross-rivers and deserted highland tracks. Professional drivers use GPS navigation system and Tetra security system to ensure the guests' comfort and safety. The specially equipped super-trucks used in Iceland are unique in the world. The standard vehicles are taken apart and modified by local professionals, who change the suspension, add larger tires, lower gear ratios etc. etc. VHF radios are installed and used for communication between all trucks, but real FM radio transmitting is possible as well. The super-truck tour can be combined with a glacier tour, a snowmobile or river-rafting adventure, and topped off with a helicopter ride en route.
Ice Travel offers two types of Super-trucks: Cat. I with seating for 4-6 persons and Cat. II with seating for 7- 12 persons. Cat. I are not as heavy as the Cat. II trucks and therefore with better ability to drive on snow and glaciers.
Available: All year. The driving routes depend on road and snow conditions.
Capacity: Maximum 500 persons per day.
Monster Trucks:
Where the super-trucks end, the monster-trucks take over. The monster-trucks are used for special purposes and can carry from 20-50 persons. These trucks are used both for normal and off-road transportation, as well as for driving on glaciers. Icel Adventure has available 4x4 and 6x6 trucks that can drive on any road, and 8x8 trucks specially made for sightseeing tours on glaciers.
Jeep rally - self drive:
Iceland is a rally-driver's Paradise . With its sparsely populated regions, roads of every type and surface and very little traffic in rural areas. We use 4x4 Suzuki and Toyota jeeps (or similar). The group is being led and instructed by one Super Truck. All vehicles can be connected with the Super Truck by radio transmitters. Self-drive by itself is of course pure fun but by adding a treasure hunt or some other challenging activity to the driving we have created both a mental and a physical challenge. Each jeep is a team. All jeeps are furnished with road maps, instructions and a special questionnaire. A special cover can be made with the company's logo. En route the teams have to solve various puzzles and tasks and answer a questionnaire related to the days programme, Icelandic history and to the itinerary of the rally itself. In the evening a special Awards ceremony can be held during dinner for the best performance in the rally. Tour can also be operated without the questionnaire.
Available all year. Prime months are May through December.
Min. number of passengers: 15 (3 - 4 in each jeep)
Max. number of passengers: 120

They have become quite famous in Europe due to a short coverage shown recently on the Euro sport channel.
