Accessories for Incentives
The following accessories can be combined with the basic incentive programs in order to make the adventure even more memorable!
1. Accessories for all programs
Open air buffet or barbecue:
An outdoor buffet with a variety of the Icelandic rich sea life such as shrimps, salmon, cod and halibut prepared deliciously with different side dishes. Before enjoying the buffet, a nice hot soup is served. Cheesecake can be ordered as dessert. Barbecue or meat courses are available as well.
Lunch packets:
We offer lunches in the form of lunch packets, containing meat and fish courses, sandwich, juice and a chocolate.
Beverages:
Warm drinks, wine/beer with glacier buffet, cocktail or snaps is an ideal touch to a perfect day. Waitresses dressed in black and white or in national costumes make a perfect frame for the picture!
Refreshment kits:
During the day it may be convenient to have a kit of beverages & snacks such as dried fruits, sandwich or chocolates in the vehicles.
Waiters:
Dressed in black and white or in national costumes.
Music:
A wide range of musical entertainment can be provided for various occasions. Jazz, folksongs, classical music can be performed during dinner at restaurants, on the glaciers by the seafood buffet, for dancing or singing by the fire. Single instruments like, guitar, accordion, flute or a harp as well as bigger music groups are available.
Stone Harp:
Made by the artist Páll Guðmundsson, who collected the stone plates from various places in Iceland . Each stone plate is placed on a piece of wood, hence the name Stone Harp. A natural and unique instrument.
Team clothes:
When groups are split into teams for competition, we can offer team clothing such as gloves, caps or vests in different colours to identify each team.
Strongest Man Show:
For years, Icelanders have successfully competed with the strongest men of the world. Have one of our Vikings show what strength is all about, and maybe encourage some guests to participate.
Parachuting-show:
Surprise your clients, watch a ski jumper coming down with the company flag or smoke with the company's colour.
Folk dance:
Traditional dancers give small and large dance shows all around the country. This is nice surprise during a welcome cocktail or dinner. The dancers may encourage the guests to participate in the dance.
Viking show:
Icelanders have participated for many years in the competition of the world's strongest man, sometimes quite successfully. Have one of our Vikings show you their athletics and even encourage the guests to participate.
Sound system:
Speakers, magneto phones, electric stations and all necessary equipment is delivered and installed for use. Attention that when used in open air, the sound is weaker than we are used to indoors.
Radio station:
Your FM radio station on wheels with your own program broadcasting from CD, MD, cassettes or live by microphone. The FM radio station is installed in one of our Super Trucks. On the road you may broadcast your own radio program, choose the music and provide your guests with the best quality in guidance. The FM radiostation can also be tuned in at hotel rooms.
Photo albums:
A professional photographer can be ordered to capture the special moments of the tour and the participants can have copies of the pictures before departure.
Video:
Make an unforgettable day last by videotaping the tour. Every participant gets a videocassette on the day of departure.
2. Accessories for glacier/snow program
Glacier buffet:
On a white snow table with the worlds' greatest view, you will have delicately laid out various courses of our Icelandic specialities. Hot soup as a starter, coffee & sweets for desert, and various menus to choose from as main course (buffet). Banks are carved out in the snow for seating.
Flagpoles for company flag:
Provided company flags can be set on flagpoles by the seafood-buffet in the snow or by our base camps on the glaciers.
Logo in snow or ice:
Company logo in company colours can be sprayed in the snow by the seafood buffet. The logo can also be cut out in clear ice, both an idea to launch a product or make a memorable moment last forever with a group photo by the logo. Size of each letter ca 70-100 centimetres high & ca 50 – 70 cm wide.
Logo on the Jeeps:
Magnetic company logos on the Super Trucks are available, according to wishes.
Suitable size: 50 cm wide, 20 cm high.
Stage of ice/snow:
An unusual way of making a speech or give awards. We use the snow cats as well as manpower to build a stage in the snowfields. Sound system; see no 1. Accessories for all programs.
Ice bar:
Bar is carved out in the snow and used for serving drinks. Can be used along with glacier buffet or for special occasion like awarding on the glacier.
Toilets:
Portable toilets transported and set up on the glacier or in the mountain area for the group.
Icelandic elves on dog sledges:
The hidden people of Iceland , living in mountains, rocks and hills appear suddenly on a sledge, pulled by nine dogs. A unique surprise in the white snowfields.
3. Accessories for "No – Snow" programs
Fireworks:
Fireworks always underline a special event and create an atmosphere of celebration.
Bonfire or torches:
Can be ideal for evening programs, with guitar singing or as a warm welcoming after river rafting. Drinks can be served by the fire.
Laser shows:
Would you like to project the company logo on the walls of a building both indoors and outdoors. The logo can be circling around the building or be still.
Museums:
Reykjavik offers many interesting museums to visit and in the countryside we can recommend two very interesting museums. The folk museum at Skogar, close to Myrdalsjokull glacier where old farm hou ses and a church have been restored and the Saga Center at Hvolsvollur.
Horse show:
Enjoy a presentation of the unique I celandic horse. What makes the Icelandic horse unique is the fact that it shows five gaits, while most other breeds of horses show only three or four. As well as the walk, trot and gallop, the Icelandic horse has two other gaits: a very smooth four-beat run, called "Tölt" and the "Skeið" or flying pace. The flying pace is a spectacular gait which has to be seen to be believed.
Útey:
Nice option during the Golden Circle tour is a visit to local farmers by the Lake Laugarvatn . They are smoking salmon and trout in many different ways. They welcome guests and give them 30 - 50 min. introduction and a taste of their product. After the visit people can buy fish to take with them if they are interested.
